ok, I understand. One questions more, the minimun voltage limit is 10 V?

No, 10 volts minimum constant current is for silver.  Use constant voltage of at least 30 volts for gold.

I'm doing the colloidal gold but I have one problem, the current source marks 0.38 A. How time is necessary to make it?

There is no specific time.  You just run the process until you get no more color change.

Where can you purchase 0.999 gold wire?  All I see is 14 K gold wire.

I used to buy it from monsterslayer.com
ccsilver.com also has it.

I already gave you two sources.  Get enough to put at least two inches in the water.  Remember, you won't be able to use it all, so a longer length is more efficient.  However, you don't need to put it all in the water at once.  Unlike silver, a bigger anode is not helpful.

Anyone know why my colloidal gold turns yellow?
im using the electrolysis method with maltodextrin
using 12.5v (i think thats why, i read in this thread that i need 30v, but maybe im wrong)
has this happened to anyone here?

Was it red, and then turned yellow?
Yellow is the color of gold chloride, what you get when the gold is not reduced.
Did you add sodium carbonate?

Hello Kephra,

I am new to the forum, and interested in producing my own CG, I’ve learned how to make my own ionic silver and would like to know if , I can use my colloidal silver generator to produce CG? , the power supply is 110V 12V 1 amp
Also what gauge gold and copper probes would be correct for this method ?.
And finally will the CG produced by this method be comparable to the CG sold online such as Meso or Medí?

Can the table salt be  substituted with sea salt ?

Thank you very much for your method .

Ed

You need more voltage... at least 30v, more is ok.
Do not use sea salt.
I don't know about meso or medi.  I do know that red colloidal gold is about 10 to 20 nm with most particles about 15.  This is the size that was clinically tested by the Optimox corp.
If you live in the US, skip electrolysis and use the gold chloride method... it makes superior colloidal gold.
Colloidal Silver is only a bargain if you make it yourself.

Yes I live in the US, will try the GC method !

I went to the salt lake minerals webpage and saw this list on Collodial Gold .
Is this your method ?
How to Make Colloidal Gold

INGREDIENTS :

Quantity

Description

1,000 grams ( 1 Liter ) 0.30 grams

Distilled Water Sodium Citrate Gold Chloride Solution (see below) If you purchased our 1% Gold Chloride Solution:

4.0 ml ( ~ 4 grams) 1% Gold Chloride Solution If you purchased our 5% Gold Chloride Solution:

0.8 ml ( ~ 0.8 grams) 5% Gold Chloride Solution

INSTRUCTIONS :

Add Distilled Water to 2 Liter Pyrex Beaker.

Add Gold Chloride Solution.

Heat to Boiling – take your time.

Add Sodium Citrate – no need to stir ( boiling water stirs it for you ) Boil for 5 minutes, color changes from Yellow to Red.

Remove from heat, cool, store only in glass container.

NOTE :

■ Use only Glass utensils. Gold Chloride solutions should never touch metal. ■ The Colloidal Gold has a very long shelf life when stored and sealed in glass. ■ Use the same Distilled Water that you can buy cheaply in Grocery Stores.
Thank you I greatly appreciate the knowledge of this  forum!

I just found your GC list , I will use yours instead !

1 question about : To make 1M sodium carbonate, dissolve 3.7 grams of sodium carbonate in enough distilled water to make 30ml.

Approx how much distilled water should I use to dilute the 3.7 Grams Of SC ? , once it’s dilluted I extract 30ml of it and store in a container .

Thanks again Ed
