SilverDog,

  https://www.cgcsforum.com/index.php?topic=2333.msg24498#msg24498

This should take care of any question you have.  Just follow the threads and you will find some ideas that work great.  The recipe STANGO gave Gene and me on this page is the best lotion I have ever used.  Kephra also has this same one in a stand alone post.

Let us know how it goes!

I am a youtuber interested in producing colloidal silver, and I hear this silvertron is the best but now its sold out! Yikes. Anyone out there with a spare for sale in good shape?

Colloidal Silver Production / Re: Interesting Voltage and Current Regulator

Thanks. Kephra, that clears that up. Thought it might have a 32 volt PSU built in. I have a 32 volt plug supply, so that's fine. Will order one if they turn out to be OK. Just waiting to see what Mer makes of it.

It has to be powered with a DC supply, with more voltage than you want to get out of it.

I've been using a bar anode at 15mA for so long I forget what the limitations are for other anode sizes. However, it seems like no matter how carefully I try to clean everything, my IS always takes on a yellow tint, meaning there's still some reducer somewhere (cold process).
Try making it in the dark or with a red darkroom light.  UV light reduces silver.

My next plan is to use a fresh wire anode & cathode pair in fresh glassware.

Will 15mA still work with a wire anode & strong stirring? I've been spoiled by the speed of the high current. (Thank you again Kephra for the SilverTron Elite!)

For reference, what are the general guidelines for current v. anode size, effect of stirring, etc.?
Some sources say it should be 6ma max per square inch of anode.  So for 2 inches of submerged 2mm silver wire, that would be 3 ma.  But with stirring, you can go the full 15ma.

Looks interesting, Mer, but I can't see any mention of the input voltage. I am assuming that 32 volts is the output voltage and it would normally be connected directly to the 230 volt supply.
