SilverTron Battery Question

Kephra,
Got a question on the SilverTron Elite v2 battery backup.
Can eight 1.2V 10000mAh LSD rechargeable NiMH batteries giving a total of 9.6v 10000mAh input work?
I also have a dozen Tenergy 9V 250 mAh rechargeable NiMHs. But that only gives 9V & a low 3000mAh input. Maybe for short runs?
Will any of these work for aa off grid power supply? And I do have 18 Duracell D Alkaline.
Thank you, Bobby

The SilverTron Elite V2 needs 7 volts minimum, 10 volts maximum to be safe, and it draws about 300mA.
The rechargeable 9 volt batteries would not last even an hour.

Kepra,
The 9V seem to work fine for those tight places where you need extra light at the wave of a hand. But you are right, not much power there. Also corrected my math on the mAh of the NiMHs.
Thanks, Bobby

The input voltage of the Silvertron Elite is 9V and the output 30V? Do you have a little transformer inside? Why don't you power it at 30V?

Its very difficult and expensive to get 30 volt wall transformers. 9 volt adapters are easy to get.
There is no transformer inside, just a little magic
