Title: Capping colloids

I am vegetarian. Have you ever used vegetable gelatine? Is it useful?

I have never used it. Perhaps Kephra could comment. I suspect that you may have to settle for cinnamon capping.

If I'm not remembering incorrectly, no it will not work.  Animal gelatin is a protein.  Vegetable gelatine is not.

The stomach cannot dissolve nor digest proteins.  Thats done by several enzymes secreted into the upper part of the small intestine.  That happens, it frees the silver particles in the part of the digestive system where they can be absorbed quickly and you get close to 100% absorption.

"Naked" (non-gel capped) in the stomach, I'd suspect you'd get maybe 50%.  Its not that the stomach digests the silver particles. It can't but it can cause the particles to agglomerate (stick together) forming masses of them that are too big to be absorbed into the blood.

The facility of the gelatine is to get the silver particles through the stomach unharmed into the small intestine to increase bioavailability to near 100%.

Somewhere on this forum Peter XXL (I think it was him) did a test using industrial hemp extract as reducer and capping agent that passes the simulated gastric fluid test. That may be worth looking up.

Especially if you are domiciled in Canada!

The question you should ask is:  Is the extract digestible?

That is a good question Kephra. Does anybody know the answer to this question?

I have sucessfully reduced and capped with a glucose/sodium citrate combination as well as with Aloe vera extract. You can verify the process in my video: https://youtu.be/gtamSlLGPuI
