They are simple in theory, but require a lot of safety measures.
Most people use a HV transformer from a microwave oven, powered through a Variac, and the HV powers the electrodes.  Both electrodes must be gold, and you need a good mechanical device which holds the electrodes the correct distance apart, allows for adjustments, and protects you from the high voltage.  It is lethal.

I think forum member Sven has a HV setup.  He has a demonstration video on youtube I think.  You might contact him.

Hello.
I cant find Sven as a member of forum. I need a link or reference on how to build a HVAC generator (to make CG)? My father have prostate cancer. I do gold metadata 32 volts and lasts a very long time. To cure need a lot of colloid and I want to start doing it with high voltage. greetings

Yes, you are right, sven is no longer a member.

His video demonstrating HVAC process for gold is:

Thank you for your reply.
In this film, is shown looks just like the production. Needs information on the voltage, resistors and components, such as salt, sodium citrate, fructose corn syrup. I'm in the microwave during the exploration.

I find no reference anywhere to colloidal gold used for treating prostrate cancer except this one:
Code: [Select]
Rubin H. Flocks and Colloidal Gold Treatments for Prostate Cancer
Henry M. Rosevear1, Andrew J. Lightfoot1, Michael A. O’Donnell1, Charles E. Platz2, Stefan A. Loening3, and Charles E. Hawtrey1,*
Abstract:
Quote
In the early 1950s, Rubin H. Flocks of the University of Iowa began to treat prostate cancer patients with colloidal gold (Au198) therapy, evolving his technique over nearly 25 years in 1515 patients. We reviewed the long-term outcomes of Flocks' prostate cancer patients as compared to those patients treated by other methods at the University of Iowa before Flocks' chairmanship. We reviewed archived patient records, Flocks' published data, and long-term survival data from the Iowa Tumor Registry to determine short- and long-term outcomes of Flocks' work with colloidal gold. We also reviewed the literature of Flocks' time to compare his outcomes against those of his contemporaries. The use of colloidal gold, either as primary or adjunctive therapy, provided short- and long-term survival benefit for the majority of Flocks' patients as compared to historical treatment options (p < 0.001). Flocks' use of colloidal gold for the treatment of locally advanced prostate cancer offered short- and long-term survival benefits compared to other contemporary treatments.
LINK

Notice that they are talking about a radioactive isotope of gold (gold-198), not the normal gold available to us mere mortals.  This isotope of gold has a half life of just 2.7 days.  It is the radioactivity that killed the tumors, not the fact that it was from gold.  Colloidal gold that you make will likely have no effect on the prostate tumors.
